🏡 Home Concierge App
Home Work
👤 Source: Anand Sanwal, co-founder and CEO of CB Insights ($100M/yr business), recently posted about wanting someone to build a "new-home-in-a-box" service. Thanks for the idea, Anand.
❌ Problem:
If you’re lucky enough to own a home right now, then for a brief few days (or maybe weeks) you were unlucky enough to have to actually move house. Moving house is the worst (I did it myself last year) - it’s time consuming, energy sapping, super stressful. And then, once you move in, you have a ton of work to do all the time to actually maintain your home.
Well Anand Sanwal recently moved house which gave him an idea in this space that we think someone could run with to take some of the stress out of moving into and maintaining your home. Here's the idea.
✅ Solution:
An AI concierge that helps you to move into and maintain every aspect of your home.
It ingests every detail of your property (square footage, lot size, build year, region, the systems inside) from listings and public records, then hands you a tailored move-in playbook.
From there it tracks every maintenance job (filter swaps, gutter cleans, servicing) and nudges you before things break, then layers on insurance, warranties, and vetted local tradespeople. A second brain for your home.
🧑💻 Prototyping: Google AI Studio Demo | Remix this Build
💡The Half Baked Take: Anand’s original pitch hits on an important pain point, but misses the fact that people don’t move home very often. No LTV (lifetime value) in this model. You need to combine it with maintenance to increase customer value over time.
