We’ve entered the super app era of software. Codex, Cursor, Claude Code - all of these apps are getting more and more powerful by the day. More and more work is getting done fully inside these apps. So why not video editing?
Well, Riley Brown believes that someone who builds a full video editor that connects to these super apps will build a billion-dollar business. Here’s the idea.

A video editor that's native to Codex, Claude Code and Cursor - not a standalone app with an AI side panel, but an editing layer the agent drives directly.
Your whole edit lives as a plain, diffable project file the agent reads and rewrites on command ("tighten the intro, drop the b-roll over the demo, duck the music under my voice").
Ship it as one MCP server every agent can call, with persistent memory of your intro, captions, brand colours and pacing. Same protocol everywhere, quietly becoming the default video layer for the whole agent ecosystem.
