🔍 Fact-Checking Plugin
Read Between the Lies
👤 Source: Bill Kerr (founder and CEO of Athyna and writer of the Open Source CEO newsletter)
❌ Problem:
Misinformation is everywhere right now. It’s in our social feeds, group chats, and especially at family dinners (we all have that one amazingly misinformed relative, right?).
Well interestingly, the World Economic Forum just ranked misinformation the biggest global risk of the next two years, and 58% of people now say they can't tell what's real from fake online. It’s time to give people a little more faith in what they read. Here's the idea.
✅ Solution:
A browser plugin that sits over your social, news and content feeds and rates every claim for factuality and bias in real time, like a credit score for everything you read.
As you scroll, it underlines checkable claims, cross-references primary sources, and drops a confidence rating plus a left/right lean on each one, with a hover-card showing the receipts.
From there it grows into your personal media diet: flagging your echo chamber, surfacing the other side of a story, and handing publishers a "verified" badge they can embed to prove their copy checked out.

💡The Half Baked Take: Huge problem in the world, but the business model could be tricky here. I think you’ll need to find a way to monetize the data, not charge end users for the product. Just my two cents.

🧑💻 Skip the $74K Legal Entity. Here’s How Remote Hires Talent Abroad the Easy Way.
They're based in Brazil, and the instinct is to set up a local entity to hire them. That's $74K, months of legal work, and a compliance burden that never goes away - before their first day.
How Remote gets them working next week:
As your employer of record, Remote becomes the legal employer in 180+ countries, so you skip the entity entirely
Compliant contracts, local payroll, and benefits handled from one platform
Onboard in days, not the quarter it takes to stand up an entity
The hire was the hard part. The paperwork shouldn't be.

⛽ Fuel for Taking Action
⚒️ Founder Tutorial: How to Use Claude on a Growth Team
Use chat as a thinking partner before you build anything: talk through the shape of a report or brief first, so Claude catches the bad framing before you've wasted an afternoon on it.
Hand off your weekly reporting to Cowork on a scheduled task, plugging in your data sources with MCP so the "here's what moved" summary writes itself every Monday.
Build the tools you actually need with Claude Code, no developer required
🆓 Playbook: Get five growth playbooks (Reddit, SEO, ChatGPT visibility + more) in a single thread. Steal the lot.
🤑 Money Shot: This company went from $750 and a group-chat to $35M in sales. Here's how.
P.S. Our Half Baked Founder Toolkit has playbooks, deals, exclusive offers and much more for founders looking to take action and start or scale their business. 100% free.

🔍️ Everything Else from Today
🛠️ AI Tool: Bluehost's AI All-Access Pack puts ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Grok in one dashboard for $20 a month. Four brains, one login. Get all four.
📈 Trends with Benefits: A Chinese lab quietly shipped an open-weight model that out-codes GPT-5.5, runs for a sixth of the price, and plugs straight into Claude Code. This is the ChatGPT moment for open source.
📚 Must-Read: Calvin Chen wrote a piece on why the risk of starting a business is misunderstood. It’s the same thinking that made us start Half Baked…
🎧️ Must-Listen: Sam Altman just broke down why personalised AI and privacy aren't opposites, but two sides of the same coin. The reason might surprise you.
🔮 Future Tech: Football fans are watching World Cup matches in AR, with the whole pitch playing out live on their coffee tables. So, so cool.
