📌 Social Bookmarking Platform

Mark my words

Available Domain: Sharemarks.com

👤 Source: Alex Lieberman (co-founder of Morning Brew) floated the idea of a "Pinterest for Knowledge" - a place to bookmark the best things you read online, sort them by topic, and let the sharpest curators charge for their lists. He posted it as a free idea. We think the timing's finally right.

Problem:

  • Everyone's drowning in tabs and "save for later" folders that really mean "never." The average knowledge worker bounces between links all day and keeps almost none of it, because saving a thing and actually resurfacing it are two completely different products.

  • Meanwhile taste has quietly become the scarcest thing online. We pay for newsletters, playlists and Substack recommendations purely because someone we trust did the filtering. But there's no clean way to follow a person's saves and no way for them to earn off it. Here's the idea.

Solution:

  • A social bookmarking platform where you clip the best content from anywhere - articles, threads, videos, papers - and organise it into public boards by topic. Think Pinterest boards, but for ideas instead of interiors.

  • Follow curators the way you follow creators. The best ones (a VC on AI infra, a chef on fermentation, a founder on cold email) build an audience around their taste, then gate their premium lists behind a subscription. Pro Curators set the price, the platform takes a cut.

  • An AI layer is what stops it becoming another bookmark graveyard: auto-tagging and summarising everything you save, resurfacing the right clip at the right moment, and recommending boards based on what the top curators in your niche are saving this week.

💡 The Half Baked Take: Saving stuff is a product graveyard (RIP Pocket and its 30m users), so this lives or dies on whether AI resurfacing finally makes saved content useful.

🤖 There is fake AI adoption, and there’s the real thing

Plenty of startups look agent-ready on the surface. Walk inside and it's a different story: a few power users and a lot of quiet confusion on how to get started.

On July 14, Zapier's Chief People and AI Transformation Officer Brandon Sammut shows founders what genuine transformation looks like: how to tell fake adoption from real, the first move to get every employee using agents meaningfully, and the first mistake to avoid.

Fuel for Taking Action

💡 Idea Inspiration: You can now have a conversation with Ray Dalio's AI clone any time you like. This is super cool.

⚒️ Founder Tutorial: You can turn Claude into an app factory that ideates, builds, and ships to the App Store for you. Time to ship!

🆓 Playbook: One founder went from 130 to 10,000 X followers in 100 days. This is the playbook.

🤑 Money Shot: This business went from renting idle GPUs to building a $100M revenue business. Here's how.

P.S. Our Half Baked Founder Toolkit has playbooks, deals, exclusive offers and much more for founders looking to take action and start or scale their business. 100% free.

🤖 Your agents are ready. But is your team?

You can build an agent for every function at your startup and still watch the rollout stall, because getting adoption is the hard part. On July 14, Zapier's Brandon Sammut shows founders how to get a whole org genuinely agent-ready, free and online.

🔍️ Everything Else from Today

🛠️ AI Tool: Knockoff is a free browser extension that strips trademark-squat pseudo-brands out of your Amazon results. It just hit 75,000 daily users.

📈 Trends-with-Benefits: "Seed" rounds are now being priced like Series B’s. The top 5% jumped 177.6% in a single year. See how mad the top end got.

📚 Must-Read: Satya Nadella just broke down the reverse Information Paradox in AI. Here’s what that means.

📺 Must-Watch: Turns out Dana White runs his own private Shark Tank, founders pitch him daily and he just connects people together or backs the ones he likes. Who knew?

✖️ Trending Tweet: YCInsight laid out the four levels of traction YC will actually accept before you apply. Most founders assume they need the top one. Turns out they don't.

🧬 Science Corner: A 17-year-old worked out how to spot a wound infection using nothing but beet juice. Genius.

🍺 Drunk Business Idea: Game Boxes

  • Tired of playing your favourite game on a flat screen like a caveman? Wish your game world had actual depth?

  • Introducing Terraform™, the world's first console that renders any game you play into a living diorama under glass. Plug in your existing machine and Terraform™ rebuilds every level in real time from 40,000 tiny magnetic bricks, shuffling a physical figurine of your character around as you mash the buttons.

  • Terraform™ - Think inside the box.
