🩺 Medical Billing Software Rollup
Practice makes payments

Name.com Domain: Medifin.ai
👤 Source: Eric Saakyan (Growth at Flex) reckons medical billing is the wedge into a much bigger business: owning the entire financial relationship with medical practices.
❌ Problem:
Medical practices are super lucrative businesses. The average physician office in the US generates ~$2.3M in annual revenue, which makes this an incredibly high net worth segment with very specific financial needs.
A practice can tell you how many patients it saw today, but not what it'll be paid or when. Revenue is scattered across claims, insurer portals, patient payments, billing software and a bank account, so cash flow gets managed by spreadsheet and educated guess. They need a better, modern financial system to run their business. Here's the idea.
✅ Solution:
A medical billing rollup business where you buy up traditional medical billing software businesses and expand into corporate cards, bill pay and working capital advances.
You consolidate different medical billing software products together and add AI agents that track every claim, predict when it pays, flag underpayments and clear routine denials, so the owner finally has a live view of what's actually coming.
Over time you layer on the additional financial products mentioned.

💡 The Half Baked Take: The rollup play is super smart - getting anyone to change bank account or payment provider is really tricky, so using billing as the wedge here is a great move.

🤖 Your Team’s Calls Are Already Full of Data You’re Not Using
Every sales call your team takes has a transcript, a tone, and a moment where the deal was won or lost, you just don't have time to review it.
Dialpad on T-Mobile for Business turns calls, texts and meetings into one AI-powered stream: auto summaries and action items after every call, real-time coaching for reps still learning the pitch, and scorecards that show exactly where a call went sideways.
Plans start at $25.

💡 Ideas to Inspire You
💻️ SaaS: Every SaaS website has a competitor comparison table (you know the one I mean). Jon Yongfook wants an agent that reads all of them and closes the gap.
📱 Mobile App: Nobody has built this $100k MRR app idea yet. Could you be the one?
🛍️ E-commerce: Digital to physical is the new gold rush. Doodles turns an idea into an object you can hold, and Offprint turns your neglected saved links into a printed magazine. Huge opportunities in this space right now…
🤖 Hardware: Would you pay $500 a night to find out if perfect conditions fix your sleep? Gabriel reckons plenty would.
💵 Side Hustle: This former maths teacher turned flipping lawn mowers into a seven-figure operation. Cool story.

🧠 Test Your Startup Idea Before You Bet Your Career On It
If you go build today's idea, a year from now you'll finally have your answer: if it can be a real company, or not. Skip that year and get the answer in five weeks instead.
The Foundry is Forum Ventures' studio sprint designed to help founders find out if they should take the leap and build that idea they've not been able to shake. You work directly with their Venture Studio team to run real customer conversations and test market demand. No cost to participate, and if it's real, a shot at $250K to build it with them.

🔍️ Everything Else from Today
💰 Funding Secured: Idler just raised a $9M seed led by Paradigm to build infrastructure for collecting and preparing frontier AI data. Picks and shovels, again.
